Digital smart identity A comparative and applied study on Egypt

Abstract

Citizenship is one of the modern concepts associated with the establishment of nation states. The concept of citizenship is part of a comprehensive understanding of the image of a modern state with the rule of law and its democratic composition.
Under democratic systems, citizenship has a range of rights and duties, and it often takes many forms and forms according to the nature of the times and its variables.
With the development of digital communications technology and the emergence of modern communications technology, citizenship has taken a new form in line with the nature of the current era and the technological development of terrible speed and the emergence of the concept of digital citizenship, which means (interaction with others using digital tools and sources, such as computers and mobile phones, with all the services it provides such as e-mail, blogs, websites and social networks, ... And others, with the associated adherence to the rules, controls, standards, objectives, ideas and principles that satisfy the optimal and correct use of digital technology).
        With the advent of digital citizenship and it's spread in the world, our Arab societies are facing many crises, as they are eating the foundation of identity in its continuity sense and the Arabic language with a fixed defined Arab identity is fading.
       Also, as a result of the irrational use of digital technology and the lack of family control, the formation of identity has exceeded the family and society, increasing the rates of depression, suicide and atheism, especially among the younger generation and adolescents. Governments should intervene by including elements of digital citizenship in the curriculum to avoid the negative effects of technological development. Artificial intelligence plays an important role in the development of digital smart identity as it contributes to countless digital applications and software.
Egypt is one of the first countries to start trying to apply digital identity before the spread of the idea of artificial intelligence and Egypt is still trying to link identity with artificial intelligence to achieve digital smart citizenship.
The UAE is also one of the first countries in the Middle East and the Arab region to apply smart digital identities in all areas.
